You were just an average, everyday girl. You were moving out of a small town, to the big city...Gotham.
You couldn't deny that you were extremely nervous, there weren't many people in your small little town, compared to a huge city!
Your moving truck was full and you drove to your new home, saying goodbye to all of your old friends and all your family.
You arrived at your new house and fiddled around in your pocket for your keys, though you couldn't find them. You knew you had them when you left your old home, so you must have dropped them when you got out of the truck, so you began to search around.
After about 5 minutes, you began to panic, you wouldn't be able to get into your house at this rate, so that wasn't a good start
“Looking for something miss?”
A voice coming from behind had startled you. It was a man in a very smart black suit, black hair and a very pale complexion.
“Uhm...Yeah, I lost my house key.”
You hear a jangling noise as he brings his right arm in front of him, holding your keys. You were baffled.
“Wh... How did you?..”
He smirked at you,
“I found them on the floor, you should know better than to drop something as precious as this in a city with such a reputation...”
You simply gulped, he seemed a little dangerous.
“Well... Can I have them back?”
You stood up and walked towards him and reached out with your left arm. He held them, smirking. As soon as he saw you get close, he pulled them back.
“Ah ah, don't I get a thank you?”
You began to get annoyed,
“Thanks...”
He smiled and handed you the keys,
“Be more careful next time. Good day to you miss.”
And with that, the mysterious man left, limping on his right leg.
After the strange encounter, you began to unpack your things. This took quite a few hours, and by the time you'd finished unpacking the important things, it was already dark, so you went to look for a bar, or somewhere you could have a drink.
You came across a bar with a neon fish sign on the outside, looked a little cheap. You proceeded inside and completely changed your mind, the décor looked as if a rich man had designed it.
There was a bar, so you sat down and went to order a drink.
“Excuse me, can I order a drink please?”
“Of course you can miss!”
You recognised that voice! You looked up and saw the man from a few hours earlier.
“Oh...Hi, I didn't know you worked here...”
He simply smiled at you, and placed his elbows on the bar and leaned in front of you.
“I see...Well, let me have the honour of serving your first drink here, considering you're a new comer!”
You gave it some thought, you wanted something that would calm you really, something quite hearty.
“Could I have a baileys please?”
He smiled, in a weirdly fake way.
“Sure, it's on the house miss!”
That was strange, was that flirting, or was he just being weird? You weren't complaining, you were getting a free drink!
He passed you your drink and you drank it quick.
“Another?” He gave you that weird smile again.
“Sure...”
He passed you another.
“Is this one on the house too?”
He smiled at you,
“Only if you don't tell her...”
You looked where he was staring and saw a women in a tight dress with short black and red hair.
You nodded and pretended to zip up your mouth,
“Sure...I won't say anything... It works in my favour after all...”
He got up and served more customers because it began to get pretty busy, but he kept giving you drinks every time he was free, so you were pretty drunk.
The bar became a little less packed, so he got a bit of free time. Your head was against the table.
“My...How much did I give you?”
You raised your head,
“I'm not complaining...”
He smirked as his boss came over.
“Oh hunny, looks as if you drank too much. Oswald! Take this little lady back to her home, I'm sure she'll struggle on her own...”
So his name was Oswald...
He looked a little shy and seemed to stutter around this woman.
“O...Of course Ma'am, tight away!”
He walked around the bar and grabbed one of your arms, he put it around his neck and lifted you. You could walk, you were just a bit wobbly.
You got outside and grabbed his shirt to keep yourself steady, he seemed to make a strange little noise as you did this.
“So...Your called...Oswald?”
“Yes miss, may I ask for your name?”
“It's __...”
“I see, what a pretty name __.”
You blushed at his comment.
Your house was right in front of you.
“Well, this is your home from what I can remember...”
You stood up on your own,
“Thank you Oswald, I appreciate it!”
You went to open your door but turned back to the man that helped you home,
“Stay at my place, it's quite late for you to walk outside now.”
Oswald was stunned, and his extremely pale face became a little flushed.
“I assure you, I'm fine miss...”
“What's wrong? Can't trust yourself around a woman?”
He was speechless... He didn't know what to say.
"Honestly miss, I'll be fine."
He said this as he smiled at you, you just sighed,
"Well, make sure you're safe when walking back, I want more free drinks!"
You gave him a wink as you smirked.
"Goodnight miss..."
"Goodnight Oswald..."

The First Date (Shy Oswald Cobblepot x Reader)
Finally Oswald had the courage to ask you out. Since some time he was secretly in love with you, but he never had the courage to tell you this. How could a gorgeous girl like you even like him, he wondered. But his longing for you grew from day to day, until he couldn’t take it any longer. His voice was trembling, as was his body. His bashful gaze was fixed on the ground when he asked you out. “__________, I would love to, I mean, if you want to, I-” he spluttered. You smiled at him and took his face into your hands. “Relax, Oswald. What’s wrong? What do you want to ask me?”

Batman x Reader Oneshot
"Bruce?" _________ called softly. She walked up the steps to their bedroom to find him sleeping face down shirtless. She smiled and shook her head. Between being the leader of Wayne Enterprises, the hero Gotham deserves, and a normal man, his life was exhausting. She put a tentative hand between his shoulderblades, her hand rising and falling with his light, even breaths. She lie down beside him, knowing what he'd been through.
The fight had been brutal, and not ended favorably. She'd been there to bandage his knife wounds herself. The Joker was a damn cruel man, and his doting Harley Quinn was just as psychotic. They'd almost killed her Bru
